MISSION: Uganda Blog Post 10-22-2026
Howdy folks!
Our trip West was a great success. We have put a lot of miles on our intrepid Honda Pilot. We have visited lots of churches, some of which have not seen us since before COVID. God has blessed our travels. Thank you all for praying. We had good health on our journeys. The vehicle endured the often mountainous terrain we needed to cross. I did need to do some work on the front brakes while we were in Mariposa. Fortunately, one of my sons had the foresight to buy me a set of tools from Harbor Freight before we hit the road, so I was able to get it done. I am well aware of how many things can go wrong on a trip like this, and God protected us against everything. It was a great blessing to reconnect with old friends and with churches who have supported us from the very early days of our ministry.
While we were en route from church to church, we took the opportunity to see several National Parks. Brennah was either too young or not born the last time we visited some of these, so our journey allowed us to go and give her memories of her own. America has some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the world. It was very refreshing to both body and soul to go and enjoy God’s glorious creation.
For the next couple weeks, we are visiting with some fellow missionaries and good friends whom we’ve known for many years. I’m doing some pulpit supply and preaching his anniversary service coming up. Pray for me that I will be able to encourage the church. They’ve experienced some hard challenges lately involving a liar and a thief. I have had numerous men betray me throughout my ministry, so I well know what this is like. Pray for this church and their Pastor.
Continue to pray for Uganda. They are still having a massive Ebola outbreak in Congo. For now, they have managed to keep it confined to Congo. Pray for the churches in Nakivale, for our deacons and their families, and for their wisdom as they lead the churches in my absence.
God bless and keep you!
