Our growing family.

James and Anna Huckabee are independent Baptist missionaries who have been serving in Uganda, Africa since 2010.

We are sent out of our local church, Grace Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO. Financial accounting is handled by Central Missionary Clearinghouuse. We have a registered NGO in Uganda: Grace Baptist Missions of Uganda.

We are currently living in Mbarara in southwest Uganda. Since 2014 we have been responsible for four churches in the UNHCR refugee camp at Nakivale, located in Isingiro district, an hour-and-a-half away. James pastors four Independent Baptist Churches there (IBC of Ngarama, Isanja, Sangano, and Kabazana). Anna heads up Sunday School and VBS for the children. James is working to produce mature disciples of Christ, and train leadership to manage the churches. The goal is to someday train a man in each church who can be trusted to Pastor. Then hand the church over and start more.

Brennah was born in Uganda, and regards Uganda as much or more her home than America. She is still with us, doing the hard work of continuing to be awesome.

Our five eldest children grew up on the mission field. James is living in Tennessee where he works as an engineer. John is living in the Pensacola area and managing his carpentry business. Ethan and Juliette and our grandchildren Maylee and Harrison are living in Alabama where Ethan works with his father-in-law in his gas station fuel system calibration business. Elizabeth and Gaelin are currently attending Pensacola Christian College in Florida. Elizabeth is studying Nursing. Gaelin has answered the call to preach and is pursuing a degree in Pastoral Ministries. Elizabeth is engaged to our soon to be son-in-law Joseph Rosnick. And lurking in the back is Mike Erb, our red-headed stepchild, who we annexed into our family back during the COVID lockdown.
